About Chiron Acutherapeutics

Why I chose the name Chiron Acutherapeutics

Chiron

Chiron (Χείρωνας Κένταυρος in Ancient Greek) is your instinct to heal. Chiron is the doctor, the medicine man or woman, and the teacher who understands the difference between being a healer and being a rescuer. As a healer, Chiron gives you the ability to bridge the physical dimension with the metaphysical, where miracles can occur in the twinkling of an eye.

Chiron energy helps you to understand the gift of the wound and draws you to trust options to develop a new bridge to the sacred. It trains you to become a mentor and an initiator into higher levels of consciousness. Recognizing your innate urge toward wholeness, with Chiron, the spiritual warrior, you are able to become the healed healer.

I use the Chiron forks, chimes and gong a lot in my session work.

Acutherapeutics

It is the right word to describe the blend of modalities I use.

More about Chiron

What is Chiron’s birth story?

According to an archaic myth, Chiron was sired by the Titan Cronus when he had taken the form of a horse and impregnated the nymph Philyra. In another version, his mother was the nymph Naïs.

What did Chiron wish for?

Chiron is the Centaur who lives at Camp Half-Blood. He is the teacher to demigods. Though he is said to be immortal, he is not. The gods granted him the wish that he could teach half-bloods until he was no longer needed.

What is the significance of the myth of Chiron?

Being half-man, half-animal, Chiron embodies the conflict in all of us between the animal instincts and reason or divinity, between the Dionysian wildness of the other centaurs and the Apollonian light and order of his foster father.

What is the moral of the story of Chiron?

In Greek mythology, the centaur Chiron was a "Wounded Healer" after being poisoned with an incurable wound by one of Hercules's arrows.

The story of Chiron reminds us that our deepest wounds are our greatest strengths. The centaurs rejected Chiron for the same qualities that allowed him to heal gods.

What is the psychology of Chiron?

Chiron embodies the spirit of compassion and selfless service. Chiron teaches us that through pain and suffering, our personal wounds, both mental and physical, can transform into sources of great moral and spiritual strength for change. Chiron is The Wounded Healer.
